Sleepy Random Office Post
January 18, 2008I'm sleepy. Right now I'm forcing myself to write just to be able to keep my eyelids open. If you could only see me, I'm already half-slouched half-lying down my chair here in the office. The air conditioning is not helping. I'm freezing here. This is a random post. I'm just blabbering here. Nothing intellectual to say. No genius coming out of mouth. You see, I usually talk when I blog. Now, I'm just snorting and grunting. And it's only minutes past 9 AM. Gawd. My back is hurting. Maybe I should shift from my sitting position already. Argh. But I'm too lazy to do that. I couldn't even hold my head up right. I'm too big for this chair. Or this chair is too small for me. Feels like a pencil being cramped inside a matchbox. Or a phonebooth being forced inside a toddler's backpack. It is cold in here. Now I know why Santa Claus is fat. You need to be fat if you want to live in the North Pole. Random. Digress. Brrr….. I fell asleep earlier in one of the sofas in one of the conference rooms. That didn't help. Now I have stiff neck. Brrr…. James just entered the office. He's our technical guy around here. I heard he was sick the past few days. He does look a little pale.
Hmm… Tsk. tsk. my drawers are a mess. Looks like I have to organize them again. Everything is jumbled up. Important documents should be stored separately from my toiletries and office supplies and sports gear. Right now, the second drawer holds my legal government stuff like NBI clearance, bank documents, contracts, BIR stuff and other papers along with my toothbrush, toothpaste, hair cuticle, my office mug, my pingpong racket and a container of toothpicks. Tsk. Tsk. My first drawer is also a mess. All my office supplies are all mixed up with my snacks and notebooks and shades. I don't even want to look what mess is in store for me with the rest of the drawers. Nuninuninu…
I wish my telephone would ring. Just to break the silence. Or I could just pretend somebody's calling me. "Hello? Yes, speaking. Blah blah blah." Growl. That's what my tummy is telling me right now. Weird. I ate breakfast earlier. Bacon. Mmmm… yeah man. Bacon is heaven. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite foods of all time. It's one of those foods that I don't mind eating for the rest of my life. Sheesh. Maybe I'll grow big as Santa Claus. Then I can put up my own place in the North Pole. That would be cool. Figuratively and literally. I mean, imagine when you walk up to somebody and make some sort of small talk chitchat.
Wits: "So yeah, I'm a marketing strategist..blah blah blah… I do blah blah blah…"
Girl: "Wow! So you must be a real genius huh? Ahlavet!"
Wits: "Oh by the way, I live in the North Pole."
Girl: "Really? Oh that is soooo totally cool."
Wits: "Yes, i know."
That's a power move right there gentlemen. That is why it is important to invest in a place where you want to be associated with. It's like the guys who live in Binondo are always associated with the Chinese even if they don't have Chinese blood whatsoever. The guys in Forbes and Wack Wack have their air of "mogulness" because they live in such posh places. The guys who live in Alabang have their identities marred with tardiness and haggardness because they come from such a far and traffic-crazy place. Not to mention having to pay toll everyday??? LOL. I hope I drove my point here. That's why if we want to invest in a place, the North Pole is the way to go. To call you "cool" will be an understatement. Hah! That's genius blabber right there!
Argh. My tummy is really giving me the Sadako moves now. Whatever that means. I think I'll have to move my ass off this PC and grab something to bite for my sanity's sake. Good day ladies and gents. I apologize for the sheer randomness of this post. I'm really sleepy. I promise to post something intellectual next time. Randomness.. Whooopee! I has it. Ugh.

@joyce: thank you for the kind words. may you never fall asleep during office hours ever again.
@ malou: yes, i have a lot of highlighters. HR gives us a supply of office things. Hmm… Too bad I never use them.
