Spanish Basketball Team : Brave or Stupid?
August 13, 2008The picture below is the Spanish basketball team before they went to the Beijing Olympics. It was all over the Spanish newspapers and tabloid ads. Racist? Rude? Or simpy being funny? I think these guys are either brave or simply stupid. If you’re going to mock an entire continent, and compete in the biggest international athletic meet in the same continent, with the continent’s enitre population several times bigger than your country’s population, you HAVE TO BE either of the two adjectives. What do you think?

Obviously, the Chinese were not happy with this ad. They vowed to make eunuchs out of these Spaniards. These Spaniards better expect meeting Jet Li and his minions and prepare themselves for a world of Kung Fu pain and torture. Yao Ming will make sure of that.
